Description
SIBRE SHI Caliper Brakes
The SHI series brakes consist of two independent halves with facing spring packages and hydraulic cylinders. The brake shoes are supported by parallel key which absorbs the braking force.
The brake shoes with linings are hydraulically retracted from the disc during opening of the brakes.
The brakes can be used horizontally or vertically, predominantly as an emergency brake.
Low wear, high thermal capacity Sinter-linings are standard for most SHI-brakes and manual compensation of lining wear is easily completed within few minutes.
Design Advantages
- Fast response time for maximum safety
- Suitable for different disc thicknesses
- No tangential forces onto pistons and seals during dynamic braking
- Low spare parts and maintenance requirement due to using only one dynamic seal per cylinder
- Simple and fast manual wear compensation
- Easy and quick replacement of pad carriers
